XtraTime Web Desk: India’s ace all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has shared a heartfelt message for the fans after India lost the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 semifinal against New Zealand on Wednesday despite of a heroic effort from Ravindra Jadeja.

With the help of former Indian captain MS Dhoni, Jadeja almost handed India a dramatic win against Ne Zealand. His knock of 77 runs from 59 deliveries can be regarded as one of the greatest knocks in the history of Indian cricket as he took the Men in Blue closer  to victory as they were chasing 240 runs to win.

Jaddu joined MSD in the middle when India were tottering at 92 for 6. India was still in the game for these two after the Kiwis sent back the big three- Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul to the pavilion inside the first 4 overs.

Despite of that these two fought like real champions and shared a partnership of 106 runs for the 7th wicket. Jadeja perished while trying to clear the long-off boundary in the 48th over and Dhoni followed his batting partner in the 49th over. India eventually fell short of the target by 48 runs.

Saying that he had learnt the lesson of not giving up till the end by playing the sport for long, Jadeja on Thursday said, ''Sports has taught me to keep on rising after every fall & never to give up. Can’t thank enough each & every fan who has been my source of inspiration. Thank you for all your support. Keep inspiring & I will give my best till my last breath. Love you all."
