Kolkata: FSDL on Thursday had a word with I-League CEO Mr. Sunanda Dhar over call and clearly asked him not to announce I-League's fixtures before ISL does their own. According to reports, this is what has been instructed to Mr. Dhar. This year, ISL and I-League will be happening in two different states and different channels will broadcast the matches. ISL is scheduled to start on November 23 where as I-League might start in the last week of November or in the first week of December. So, what's the reason FSDL is asking Mr. Dhar to delay the process? Maybe because they are waiting for East Bengal.

On the other hand, ISL teams have delayed their process of unveiling their New Jersey and the fixtures are not coming out anytime soon. Previously, it was expected that the fixtures will come out on 31st August but now it looks like, it'll be made official in the 2nd week of September. Hence, East Bengal will get a lot of time in their hand. By then if East Bengal receives a “Green Signal" from FSDL to play ISL, then only the entire process will be made official by them.

Millions of East Bengal fans are in doubt right now! Whether they have an investor and can play in the ISL is what every fan is thinking about! There's something else that's stuck in their mind. If everything is decided, then why the officials are not announcing? According to reports, East Bengal club didn't receive any ‘Green Signal' from FSDL as of now. Thus until and unless FSDL permits, they can't announce the name of the investor. Just because FSDL is involved in the entire process, thus without their permission, East Bengal can't announce the name of their investor. According to reports, East Bengal will organise a virtual meeting this Friday. Other than club officials, members from FSDL as well as members from their new investor will be present in the meeting. The entire process can be finalized that day.
Besides, there's another matter to consider. Due to covid, there is noticeable surge in financial crisis everywhere. In this time of hardship, any organisation would want to invest on such a club who will play at the highest level in the country. FSDL is also aware of this fact. Thus, it is just a matter of time for everything to come into light. Right now, this is solely in the hands of FSDL. Hence, there is no option left other than to wait.
