Internet Desk: The football crazy city of Kolkata is gearing up for the first Kolkata Derby of the Hero I-League 2017-18 season. Kingfisher East Bengal and Mohun Bagan both have a lot of new faces who will have the taste of playing the biggest game in Indian football for the first time in the Hero-I-League. Here goes the four new faces who could be the game-changing factors for East Bengal in this Kolkata derby:

Mahmoud Al Amna

The former Syrian playmaker had a remarkable start for the Red and Gold brigade in the Calcutta Football League and also has the experience of winning the last I-League for Aizawl FC. The attacking midfielder has been an instrumental figure in Khalid Jamil’s plans and would be the key player for the East Bengal gaffer. His clever runs, creating deadly moves can be nightmares on the given day. The Mohun Bagan coach too knows it pretty well that he has to prepare a perfect antidote to stop him.

Bajo Armond

The newly signed foreigner from Rainbow FC has given a lot of faith to the East Bengal coach. The lanky midfielder was brilliant throughout his first game against Aizawl FC. The defensive midfielder would be responsible of keeping both Dicka and Kroma on check in the Kolkata derby. Bajo will also play as a cushion in front of the back four. No doubt, the Red and Gold brigade will rely heavily on him.

Brendon

The young winger came from Aizawl FC with hight reputation and delivering the goods to his coach with some consistent performances. He is very quick and his control on the ball makes him a dangerous player to deal with. The youngster can play on both the flanks and his impact on the counter attacking moves make him even more special. This would be his first Kolkata Derby in the I-League and the lad is confident enough to take the challenge.

Chullova

The East Bengal fullback is likely to play on the right in the Kolkata derby. His speed and tenacity will be key for the East Bengal coach to stop the dangerous Sony Norde. Chullova stopped Norde to help Aizawl to clinch their first I-League last season and the Red and Gold brigade would be hoping to see the same on Sunday as well.
