Kolkata: High security will be provided at the Salt lake Stadium during the home matches of both the Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan and East Bengal in the forthcoming I-League 2017-18 season confirmed Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate today. The police will provide high security just like they did in the recently concluded FIFA U17 World Cup. Top officials of both the clubs met the Police authority of the Bidhannagar Commissionerate. Earlier ATK officials too met them as their home matches of the Indian Super League will be played at the same venue.

In the meeting the police authority talked with both the Club officials regarding the security arrangements. A decision has been taken that the security level won’t be the same in every match. They will increase or decrease the security level after discussing the importance of the match. According to the police authority they will provide the highest level of security for the Kolkata derby as the stadium would be jam packed in this game.

The Salt Lake Stadium was renovated for the FIFA U17 World Cup and the Government as well as the police authority wants to protect the ground at any cost.
