Xtra Time Web Desk: Team India wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant looks supremely fit and raring to go as the Indian team prepares for the five match test series against England which starts in Nottingham from August 4. Pant has recovered fully from COVID-19 and looks in great shape. The wicket keeper batsman missed the three day warm up game recently against County Select XI as he was undergoing isolation after being tested on July 8.

In a recent interview to BCCI.tv, Pant said, “I have evolved a lot as a player in the last one year because you keep doing your processes while sometimes you don’t get the result. But you have to trust your process and keep doing the same thing again and again. I have been trusting the process and have been getting the results. So I am happy now.”

He shared his experiences scoring his debut test hundred at the Oval on his first tour to England in 2018.

“I got a hundred in Oval. Especially in England, it was an amazing experience in front of that crowd. We were under pressure. It was an amazing memory for me.”

Talking of the preparations for the upcoming series against England, Pant mentioned how he is seeking inputs from senior players and staff.

“I talk to Rohit Bhai a lot. I like talking about the game like what we could have done in the previous matches, in future, if the same situation happens, what are the other possible outcomes we can do. I consult Virat bhaiya for the technical nitty-gritty, especially playing in England, where to take the stance. Ravi Bhai, I spoke to him a lot because he has played enough cricket all over the world. As a player, I just want to learn from each and every person.”

Sharing his experiences of playing in England, Pant said,As a cricketer when you play around the world, you have to keep something in mind. When you come to England, you know the ball is gonna swing a lot. So, yes I have been standing outside the crease a little bit, using the crease in and out well. “

“Especially in these kinds of conditions, you gotta respect the bowlers slightly more than you do in other places. That’s what I am looking forward to doing during the Test matches,” signed off Pant.
