Huge blow for Mohun Bagan ahead of their next game

Kolkata: Mohun Bagan’s star midfielder Yuta Kinowaki will be out of action for almost one hand half month due to a shoulder injury which he sustained during the match against Churchill Brothers at the Barasat Stadium today.

The Japanese medio got an injury just after the start of the game today. Coach Sanjoy Sen replaced him with Shilton d’Silva after the incident. After that the officials took Kinowaki to a hospital where he will undergo an operation later tonight. As per the doctors his shoulder has been dislocated.

Mohun Bagan financial secretary said,” Kinowaki will be out of action for at least a month. But we won’t take any replacement as we believe that he will return to the field very soon.”

Kinowaki played really well in Kolkata Derby which was also his first match in the Green & Maroon jersey as he missed the opener against Minerva Punjab FC due to an injury and now he will again be out of the field for at least a month. Not only Kromah a lot of Mohun Bagan footballers have suffered injuries during the match at the Barasat Stadium which is an astro-turf. Sony has an injury in his knee, on the other hand Arijit Bagui has twisted his ankle.

On being asked about the matter, Bagan coach Sanjoy Sen said,” The doctor will have a look at their injuries. We have to play at Barasat as we don’t have any other choice.”
