Xtra Time Web Desk: In what comes as a good news for the Indian cricket team, Shubman Gill was back in the nets. The 24 year old batted for almost an hour at the Narendra Modi Stadium. He was accompanied by physio Kamlesh and left arm throw down specialist Nuwan. Gill also did some fielding practice before calling it a day.

Shubman was tested positive for dengue. He missed the first two matches in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. He had to be admitted in a hospital in Chennai on October 8 as a precautionary measure as his platelets dropped a bit. He was discharged the next day.

After staying back in Chennai and recovering under BCCI medical staffs, he flew to Ahmedabad on Wednesday night.

Shubman was at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Thursday morning to practice. With still 48 hours to go before the marquee clash against Pakistan, it goes to be seen if he recovers fully.
