Internet Desk: Now Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid honour to Pullela Gopichand by praising him as a teacher through radio. While describing the nature of a teacher Prime Minister denoted him as a better teacher.
“Today I am witnessing Pullela Gopichand as a better teacher than a player”, said Narendra Modi during his 23rd speech of Mann ki Baat programme on All India Radio.
He described Gopichand as an excellent teacher while describing the upcoming 5th September, the Teachers’ Day. In this AIR programme the Prime Minister of India was reaching out to Indian mass on the definition of good teacher etching the comparison of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. In this context Narendra Modi made everybody remember of the contribution of P Gopichand as a badminton coach who gave India two Olympic Medals. In 2012 London Olympics Saina Nehwal won the Bronze under the coaching of Gopichand. This time the story of P V Sindhu winning the Silver, has became a common one.
