Xtra Time Web Desk : The football season in Bengal has kicked off through the Kolkata League. However, the question is, when will the two iconic clubs of India, East Bengal FC and Mohun Bagan Super Giants, face each other? Here is the answer now.
Instead of the Kolkata League, the first Kolkata Derby of the season will take place during the Durand Cup. If everything goes well, East Bengal and Mohun Bagan will come face to face on 11th August.
Before the derby, Mohun Bagan and East Bengal will play against Bangladesh Services in the Durand Cup. Then on 11th August, they will face each other at the Salt Lake Stadium, in Kolkata.
Apart from that, there is a possibility of Mohun Bagan and East Bengal facing each other in the Super Six of the Kolkata League if they secure the top three positions in their group. In that case, the big match in the Kolkata League can be scheduled for the month of September.
