Image Source: twitter[/caption] Internet Desk: Former Proteas star fielder Jonty Rhodes is all set help the junior cricketers of India to improve their fielding skills. According to TOI reports, the Mumbai Cricket Association is on the verge of hiring him as their fielding consultant. Rhodes had worked with the IPL franchise Mumbai Indians for last three years too. “We've been in talks with him for a while now, and since he's keen to accept our offer, the process of his appointment is in the final stages now," a top MCA official told. The top MCA official also added that a few terms and conditions are yet to be finalised but they are confident that Rhodes will sign the contract. “We want him to spend around 80-100 days at our academy at BKC. He'll help out our cricketers from all the age-groups -from the under-12 to the Ranji Trophy level," he added. Everyone should remember that during his playing days, Jonty showed everyone that fielding was crucial for any team’s success. The legendary South African player regarded India as his second home for several times, and to prove his love he gave his daughter’s name ‘India’. Rhodes played 52 Tests and 245 ODIs for South Africa where he scored 2,532 and 5,935 runs respectively.
