The two goals were scored by the foreign attacking duo of the Mariners Kamo and Kromah. A large number of fans gathered to witness their favourite team play and it so happened that a large number of supporters who failed to buy the tickets for the game watched the match by standing in the Rampart like in olden times. The first game came in the 32nd minute when a canon of a shot from Kamo saw the ball reaching the back of the net and thereby giving an early lead for the Mariners. Customs got a free kick in the 40th minute at a distance of almost 30 yards which rattled the crossbar after a brilliant shot from Sourav Das Gupta. a couple of minutes later a shot from Kromah saw the ball hitting the woodwork again while Azhar too missed a couple of opportunities in the first half. The 51st minute saw a cross of Chesterpaul Lyngdoh from the right wing landing in the opponent’s box which was calmly finished by Kromah who made the scoreline 2-0. “I don’t know Chima and neither have I seen him play but I have seen a lot of people claiming that our playing styles are similar” said Kamo who is an Arijit Singh fan, when he was questioned about whether he knew Chima Okorie. Kamo who is a fan of Asamoah Gyan often celebrates his goal by dancing. “Whether Kamo scores or me doesn’t matter. All that matters is that the team should win and we are desperate to win the CFL” said Shah Rukh Khan fan Kromah who even sang “Kuch kuch hota hain” after the game. “Both Kamo and Kromah are scoring goals owing to a brilliant ball supply from the midfield” said Shankarlal Chakraborty. Swapan Sadhan Bose who witnessed the game suggested that Sony Norde should be the captain of the side, upon hearing which club official Srinjoy Bose said, “We don’t have the courage to throw his words, however we will decide with the Technical Committee regarding this matter”
