Federation Cup 2017: East Bengal look to break the jinx in Fed Cup

Kolkata: East Bengal will leave for Cuttack tomorrow for the upcoming Federation Cup. The team has decided to stay in the city of Cuttack.

Young defender Samad Ali Mallick is scheduled to travel with the squad who was missing from the team since the time of former coach Trevor James Morgan.

East Bengal is pooled in Group A which consists of Aizawl FC, Churchill Brother SC, and Chennai City FC.

Team coach Manaranjan Bhattacharya is disappointed with the injury concerns that are surrounding the team at this moment.

“Fed Cup is a top Tournament of the Country as the best 8 teams of play in it.” said Bhattacharya.

He also said that East Bengal always plays for being the Champions. For achieving greatness, the players must push their limit to the maximum.

“I want to improve the defence of the team but all players are unavailable at this moment”s aid the newly appointed team head.
