Suman Chakravorty: Mohun Bagan's former Haitian superstar Sony Norde might return into competitive football, as the Haitian has been claimed to have agreed terms with Bangladeshi club Basundhara and as per the club sources he will join the outfit at the end of this month.

Sources in Bangladesh has also informed XtraTime that, the Bangladeshi club is spending big in the transfer market and have already confirmed former Sporting Clube De Goa Head Coach and Mumbai City FC Assistant Coach Oscar Bruzon as their new Head Coach. The club is also claiming that they have signed former Kerala Blasters and Jamshedpur FC forward Kervens Belfort.

The Basundhara officials had earlier contacted former East Bengal gaffer Khalid Jamil, but weeks back the talks couldn't find a way and they headed towards Bruzon.

Sony Norde bid an emotional good bye to the Mariners last season as he had an operation to undergo. No doubt, if this eventually happens, this transfer will be a big upset for the Bagan fans across the globe. Later at night, XtraTime journalist Sabyasachi Bagchi spoke to Sony Norde about this transfer specul;ation. But Norde said, "Yes Basundhara wants me to join the club. This is true, but I'm still waiting for some ISL clubs." Norde also claimed that the claim, the club is making that he would join them by the end of this month is "fake". Reports in Kolkata Maidan though suggest, if Tutu Bose's panel eventually wins the Mohun Bagan election, Norde has a huge possibility of joining the Mariners again,. Norde too perhaps waiting for that to happen.
