Kolkata:
Mohun Bagan’s one of the star performers of the recently concluded Calcutta Football League season, Stephen Bayi Kamo is all set to get axed by the Mohun Bagan officials, as the Mariners have already finalized Dipanda Dicka for the I-League. East Bengal coach Khalid Jamil too hinted that Kamo is there in his plans. Today, in an exclusive interaction with www.xtratime.in journalist Suman Chakravorty, Kamo was found in a explosive mood. Here goes the interaction:

XT: Kamo, there is a huge buzz going on regarding your possible move to East Bengal for the I-League. Khalid Jamil himself revealed that you are in his plan. What’s your take on that?

Kamo: I have tried my best at the Calcutta Football League. Everyone knows how well I have played. I am really happy with my performance. Khalid Jamil is a top professional and we have a great relationship. Nothing is confirmed, but if they come up with a concrete offer, I’ll be happy to play there.

XT: You have a great rapport with Khalif. If you get to work with him again, how special will it be?

Kamo: I just love to work him. He knows me really well, knows what I’m capable of and the partnership had given us the I-League in the previous season as well. We are regularly in touch with each other and we respect each other a lot.

XT: Mohun Bagan officials want to put you in front of their technical committee, as they are not happy with your performance in the last three matches. What do you want to say  amout it?

Kamo: Mohun Bagan officials know very well about my performance. They will say a lot of words now as they need excuses to release me. I have no problem with that. They might fine me as well. I don’t bother. They can do whatever they want.

XT: East Bengal have not won the I-League title for the last 14 years. How confident you are to give them the trophies? What do you wanna say about your possible partnership with Plaza?

Kamo: I know how it feels when the fans don’t win the trophy for so long. East Bengal have a great team this time. If I join them, my intention would be to win the trophy at any cost. Plaza is a great player and I’m sure that we will have a great partnership. The mission would be to put smile on the faces of the fans.
