Xtra Time Web Desk: Under fire England openers Haseeb Hameed (43*) and Rory Burns (31*) gave their team a solid start adding an unbeaten 77 runs for the first wicket as the hosts eye a tricky run chase on Day 5 of the fourth test against India at The Oval. The hosts still need 291 runs to win the test match with all 10 wickets intact. India in their second innings posted a commendable 466 runs with Rishabh Pant and Shardul Thakur both scoring half centuries. Shardul scored 60 off 72 balls while Rishabh showed solid determination to score 50 off 107 balls.

It will be interesting if England will go for the run chase as the wickets have very little to offer so far with a few balls did turn and bounce awkwardly from the rough created. For England to fancy a draw or even a win , key will be their captain Joe Root who missed out on the first innings. India will be looking upto Ravindra Jadeja who has been preferred over an experienced Ravichandran Ashwin. The left arm spinner so far bowled 13 overs giving away only 28 runs.
