East Bengal & The IFA finally disclose their opinion on Abinas Ruidas

Abinas Ruidas
Kolkata:
Former East Bengal winger Abinas Ruidas has at last been granted the all awaited ‘No Objection Certificate’ by East Bengal and IFA to play for Indian Super League franchise Mumbai City FC.

The highly talented winger, who signed a two-year contract with East Bengal in 2015, had stated his intentions to play for an Indian Super League club and it was www.xtratime.in who first revealed it. However, the Kolkata giants insisted that he was still under contract with them as he had signed for the 2017-18 season as well.

The youngster from Budge Budge vehemently denied the claim and maintained that he was forced to sign a blank paper when he had initially signed the two-year-contract and the club had manipulated the same and forged his signatures.

At last the turmoil comes to an end. Both The IFA and East Bengal finally decided to rest the case and allow the player to play for Mumbai City as per the request by The All India Football Federation. The IFA Secretary also ruled out the chances for punishing him for the disciplinary reasons as he termed it as a “Dead Issue.”

On being asked about the matter, AIFF Secretary Kushal Das said,” I am thankful to the East Bengal officials and IFA Secretary Utpal Ganguly as they have given Abinash to play football, as it is not good snatch football away from a footballer.”

Mohammedan Sporting Club have sent many letters to the AIFF by saying that they want to take part in the I-League. Commenting on the matter, Das said,” There is a proper bidding process to take part in the I-League. We cannot break any rule for any particular club.”
