XtraTime Web Desk: Kolkata giants East Bengal started positively as it was must win game for them. Dudu scored 4 goals to trash Chennai it was one sided as the Red and Gold won the game 7-1. That is the highest margin in I League for this season. Earlier, East Bengal won 8-1 against Hal.

Syrian midfielder Al Amna opened the scoring in the 20 th minute as Lalram Chullova snatched a ball from Soosai Raj and delivered it to Amna who scored in the third attempt as first two saved brilliantly by Kabir.

Veteran defender Ravanan made mistake to double the score line for the home side as he scored an own goal from a cross. Dudu opened the scoring in the 32 nd minute as Mehetab Singh crossed a ball which went over to Kromah but, Dudu took it and placed it to the goal.

In the second half Dudu started scoring as Al Amna snatched a ball but couldn’t find a way to move somehow Dudu got hold of it and scored. In the 56 th minute Dudu got his hat trick as he was fed with the ball by Kromah on the run who combined well with Al-Amna to break the defence and nick a pass to Dudu who did the rest.

Finally, Chennai got something to cheer as substitute Manshoor Shereef scored a goal in the 59 th minute.

Couple of minute after considing a goal East Bengal scored their sixth as Katsumi’s corner went to Dudu and he just placed it back of the net.

Gabriel Fernandes got a pass from Kromah to score 7 th goal for the home side in the 84 th minute. Undoubtedly Dudu got the Hero of the match award for scoring four goals. East Bengal moved up to second in the table with 29 points in 16 matches as they went passed Minarva who got same points in 15 matches. Neroca will still remain in the top with 31 points in 17 matches.

East Bengal defender Eduardo Ferreira will miss the next match as he recieved four yellow cards in this edition of I League. They will face Shillong Lajong on 5 th March.
