1 Kolkata: Kingfisher East Bengal to take the legal way to counter the contract draft sent by the IMG-R for allowing them to play the proposed merger league, confirmed by the club Assistant Secretary Shanti Ranjan Dasgupta today at the club premises after an eventful executive committee meeting. Mr Dasgupta has also mentioned, "If somebody comes to you and asks you to sell your house, you will certainly not do it. Same with us, our executive committee has also decided that the club won't pay a single penny to play the league." He added, "It's on them if they want us to play or not. But all we can say is that, there are a lot of issues which are against our club administration." Mr Dasgupta though seemed confident that the AIFF Vice-President Mr.Subrata Dutta will represent the grievances in a prudent way and will be able to fix the problem with an ideal solution. But at the same time, he said, "There is no way of accepting the condition of handing over the club rights to them for 15 years. In fact, we don't want to do anything like that." He continued, "There were a few things which were written and at the same time, there are some possible commercial aspects which they might have intentionally hidden as well. From now on, our lawyer will be replying all the answers."

Meanwhile, East Bengal to start a cricket academy soon.
