Duleep Trophy: India Reds in a comfortable position after brilliant performance from spin duo

Image Source: twitter[/caption] Internet Desk: A total of nine wickets shared between spinner duo Krishnappa Gowthan and Kran Sharma helped India Red bundle India Green for mere 157 runs on day 2 of the Duleep Trophy match. Continuing from 232-5, the reds ended their innings at a healthy score of 323 after skipper Dinesh Kartikh scored a well deserved fifty. Kartikh was dismissed by Mohammed Siraj who also scalped the wicket of Karn sharma, while part time spinner Murali Vijay took a wicket. The chief architects of India Green’s downfall, Gowtham and Sharma had some praiseworthy figures of 5-46 and 4-39 respectively. Prashant Chopra (65) was the top scorer for India Green, followed by Karun Nair (37) and Parthiv Patel scored 17 runs, but none of the other batsmen could reach doubles digits at the Ekana International Cricket Stadium. At stumps, India Red were 19 for one with Priyank Panchal (11) and Rahul Singh (1) at the crease. They led by 185 runs with nine wickets remaining.
