Churchill Brothers to play the I-League this season despite being relegated?

XtraTime Web Desk: Last season’s relegated I-League side Churchill Brothers is likely to play in the I-League this season. The Goan club finished ninth in the I-League season and were relegated, had requested the All India Football Federation (AIFF) to consider their entry into the top-tier league this year. The AIFF sent this to its emergency committee and as per sources they are looking forward to give the Goan side a chance.

Kolkata giants East Bengal and Mohun Bagan are likely to play ISL in the next season. It will be difficult to organise 10 team League in the 2019-20 season and there will be no club from western region in this year’s I League if Churchill face the relegation. Considering those facts the Goan team may get a chance to play in the I League.
