Centuries from Rohit and Kohli helps India put up a mammoth total against Sri Lanka

Internet Desk: India put up a massive total in the 4th ODI against hosts Sri Lanka, held in Colombo. Batting first India piled up 375-5 in the allotted 50 overs. Opener Rohit Sharma and skipper Virat Kohli both scored tons to help India amass such a huge total. Playing his 300th ODI, former skipper MS Dhoni too batted brilliantly along with Manish Pandey. Dhoni added yet another feather in his cap when he became the most not-out batsman, a record of 73 times.

Rohit scored a quick firing 104 out of just 88 balls, consisting of 11 fours and 3 sixes. After Shikhar Dhawan was dismissed for just 4 runs, Rohit along with Virat built a big partnership. Virat Scored 131 out of 96 balls which consisted of 17 fours and 2 biggies.

After Hardik Pandya and Lokesh Rahul were dismissed on 19 and 7 respectively, the helm of the Indian innings was held by MS Dhoni and Manish Pandey as both remained not out till the end of the innings.

Dhoni scored 49* off 42 balls while Manish scored 50* of 42. Yet again in this game, the versatility of the Indian batting order was quite evident. Both the top order and the lower batting order proved capable of building big partnerships in any part of the game.

As for the Lankans, all of their bowlers were mercilessly punished by the Indian batsmen. Angelo Mathews was the most effective bowler who bagged 2 wickets by giving away just 24 runs. Lasith Malinga, Vishwa Fernando, and Akila Dananjaya all picked a wicket each.
