Xtra Time Web Desk : Barcelona on Tuesday earned a hard fought 1-1 draw against Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez stadium. The match was an important one for the 7th placed Barca but they could not salvage the much needed three points.
The match started with Barcelona having more possession of the ball and dominating the game in terms of stats. But the hosts on the other hand took their opportunities and scored a goal on the 32nd minute to go ahead in the match which lasted for only 13 minutes before Araujo scored the equalizer for the Catalunyan giants in the 45th minute.
There were no goals in the second half although Xavi’s team created a lot of chances but couldn’t capitalize on them. Thus it resulted in a disappointing draw for the Spanish giants.
Amidst these matches, COVID has also taken a huge toll on the players as Real Madrid’s Isco and David Alaba tested positive on Tuesday.
