Xtra Time Web Desk: Hamza Choudhury, the Bangladeshi-origin midfielder who plies his trade for Leicester City, has had a wonderful rise to the top. The hard-working midfielder's mother is his link to country, originally being from Sylhet. He has made himself a relatively regular fixture in the Leicester line-up, and last night, he used his platform to send a message on the public stage, holding the Palestinian flag with teammate Fofana after their team won the FA Cup Final against Chelsea last night.

Choudhury had the flag draped over his shoulders as he collected his winner's medal after beating Chelsea 1-0. Tens of thousands of protesters marched in support of Palestinians on Saturday in major European cities including London, Berlin, Madrid and Paris, as the worst violence in years raged between Israel and militants in Gaza.

Palestinian Ambassador to the UK, Husam Zomlot, thanked Choudhury and Fofana for their show of solidarity. In addition to them, Arsenal midfielder Elneny has also spoken out on Twitter, writing, "My heart and my soul and my support for you Palestine," in a gesture which has been lauded by fans but seemingly not by his higher-ups at Arsenal, as the club released a statement later disassociating itself from his opinions.
