Asian Games 2018: India hockey team creates history ! Breaks 86 year old record

XtraTime Web Desk: Indian men’s hockey team continued their dominance in the ongoing Asian Games 2018 where after thrashing Indonesia 17-0 in their opening match, the Men in Blue created a record against Hong Kong in their second match of the tournament by pummeling them by a scoreline of 26-0. In the third quarter, India scored their 18th goal of the match with which they also broke the Asian Games record for the maximum goals scored in a match.

In the previous match against Indonesia, India had equalled Pakistan’s record of maximum goals scored in the history of Asian Games. India’s previous highest margin of win was a 12-0 over Iran in 1974 and Bangladesh in 1982.

At the 1932 Los Angeles Olympics, India had defeated United States 24-1.
