Internet Desk: An inspirational knock from Joe Root (67*) have raised hopes of a miracle England win against Australia in the second Ashes Day Night test match at the Adelaide Oval on Tuesday. England at stumps on Day 4 is 176/4, still requiring 178 runs more with six wickets in hand. Root is batting with night watchman Chris Woakes on five.
The highest successful chase in the fourth innings at the Adelaide Oval is 315 for six by Australia against England in 1902.
The hosts after dominating for the first three days, finds themselves in a tricky situation as the match can swing in favour of any team on the final day tomorrow.

The next English batsman to depart was Vince who was beaten by a pitched-up Mitchell Starc delivery, getting a big nick to Peter Handscomb at slip for 15. Malan put on 78 with Root before he was bowled by Pat Cummins for 29.
Australia are 1-0 ahead in the series .
