Arpita Excels as Bengal wins Bronze in the National Women Team Chamionship

Internet Desk: State Women Champion WFM Arpita Mukherjee,won Gold Medal for her superlative performance  as West Bengal finished third  National Women’s Team Chess Championship at Bhopal.

In the final Round,Bengal routed Himachal Pradesh 4-0 to edge out LIC on better  tie break to win the Bronze with 10 points behind the Top seeds Air India and Airport Authority of India ,who scored 12 points each.

Arpita,who won her maiden International Women Master norm in January scored 6 points in 7 games on the First Board.The other members of the team,Chandreyee Hazra,Samriddha Ghosh and Sudipa Halder,all improved their Elo Ratings from this event.
