XtraTime Web Desk: Former technical director of Tata Football Academy, Ranjan Chowdhury is likely to part ways with East Bengal club. The respected coach who was associated with the TFA for 23 years has produced some outstanding footballers in Indian football like Dipendu Biswas, Rahim Nabi, Gourmangi Singh and many more.


The veteran coach is upset with the recent developments. After a stint with Pune FC academy, the veteran coach decided to move to East Bengal with a view to develop young talent. But the scenario at East Bengal club with erstwhile investors Quess leaving the club at the end of May has forced him to change his minds. He was quite enthusiastic to start with at the Kolkata club but soon realized that he is not being given a free hand. He was not given much importance by Quess East Bengal management. A former footballer of the club also did not behave well with him. Neither was he paid his salaries by the Quess management. Somewhat upset and frustrated with the recent happenings, the experienced coach has now decided to return back to Germany.


Ranjan Chowdhury has his family settled in Germany. His brother Anjan Chowdhury is also a pro licensed coach in European circuit. So, it is likely that an emotional Ranjan will return back to Germany.
