Image Source: ICC[/caption] Internet Desk: Fifties from Hardik Pandya (78), Rohit Sharma (71) and Ajinkya Rahane (70) helped India to successfully chase the 294 run target set by Australia to win the five match ODI series with five wickets in hand and 13 balls to spare at the Holkar Stadium in Indore on Sunday.  The win helped India to jump to the top of ICC ODI rankings with 120 points. Indian captain Virat Kohli equalled the milestone of consecutive 9 wins in ODI’s by former India captain MS Dhoni. Chasing a stiff total, Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane gave India a perfect start, putting 139 runs for the opening wicket. Rohit was in vintage form as he clobbered the Australian bowlers to all parts of the ground. His 62 ball knock included 4 huge sixes and six hits to the fence. Rahane also gave good support to Rohit as he brought up his second consecutive fifty of the series. India suffered a jolt as both Rahane and Sharma were dismissed in quick succession in the 22nd and 24th over respectively. Indian captain Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya added 56 runs for the third wicket to get back the run chase on track. Australia came back briefly into the game when they dismissed Kohli and Kedar Jadhav in six balls to reduce the hosts to 206/4 in 35.2 overs from 203/2 in 34.2 overs. But Hardik Pandya and Manish Pandey (36 not out) ensured there were no more casualties as they added 78 runs to take India home. Earlier Aussie opener Aaron Finch, playing his first game of the series, scored a brilliant hundred (124 runs) to lay the platform for a huge score. Both Finch and Warner (42 runs) put on 70 runs for the opening wicket after Steve Smith decided to bat first. Australian captain was involved in a 154 runs partnership with Finch for the second wicket. The visitors threatened to post a huge total before the Indian bowlers crawled back into the match with some disciplined bowling. The hosts staged a remarkable comeback in the last 10 overs of the game after the fall of Finch, giving away just 59 runs and taking four wickets. Australia could only manage 293 runs in the stipulated 50 overs. Hardik Pandya was adjudged the player of the match for his all-round contribution of 78 runs off 72 balls (five 4s and four 6s) and bowling figures of 10-0-58-1. India lead the series 3-0 with two more matches to go.
