XtraTime Web Desk: FIFA World cup is not just about football, the players too get excited to get the limelight through different ways. Star Spanish defender Sergio Ramos is the latest example of that.
Sergio Ramos has channeled his inner John Barnes by starring in a World Cup song, ahead of the 2018 tournament starting Russia later this month.
The Real Madrid defender and Spain captain has released his own single, ‘Otra Estrella en tu Corazon’ – which translates to ‘Another star in your heart’ – alongside pop star Demarco Flamenco.
The emotional ballad features such inspiring lyrics as ‘Come on, Spain, raise your voice. Scream loudly, shout that goal. In our skin, decide the ball. Put another star in your heart.’
Ramos goes on to sing, over clips of Spain in previous tournaments: ‘Thinking big we will achieve the best, fighting together, towards the star with honour. We have to try. May La Roja shine once more.’
The professional music video also features a family of Spain fans watching the World Cup at home, and youngsters playing in national team shirts.
It isn’t the first time Ramos has demonstrated his singing capabilities ahead of a major tournament.
