Internet Desk: Sunrisers Hyderabad was dealt a big blow ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) season 9 after star batsman Yuvraj Singh is set to miss at least the first two weeks of the mega event starting from Saturday.

Yuvraj is still recovering from an ankle injury that he picked up during the recently concluded ICC World T20 in the game against Australia.

“Sadly, Yuvraj will be out for a couple of weeks but we don’t know how long that is going to be,” Sunrisers Hyderabad coach Tom Moody said in IPL’s official website.

Moody went on to say that a player like Yuvi is not only a match-winner but a useful bowler.

“A player like Yuvraj Singh is important to any team. He is not only a match-winner with the bat, but he is a very useful bowler in those middle overs.”

Yuvraj, who plied his trade for Delhi Daredevils last season, was bought in the auctions by Sunrisers for a whooping sum of Rs. 7 cr.
