Xiaomi India announces partnership with BCCI President Sourav Ganguly

Xtra Time Web Desk : Xiaomi India, country’s No.1 Smartphone and Smart TV brand, today announced its partnership with The Sourav Ganguly Foundation as a part of its #ShikshaHarHaath initiative. In continuation of its efforts to enable the student community from underprivileged sections, the brand will be providing sponsorships to children for every Xiaomi and Redmi smartphone sold during the ongoing Mi Fan Festival.

With a focus of supporting and empowering the youth of the country, Xiaomi India had announced its #ShikshaHarHaath initiative in 2021 through which they enable students from underprivileged communities to get access to education without any roadblocks.

Sourav Ganguly, BCCI president and Former Indian Captain, said, “ India’s youth is the future of the country and access to education is of utmost importance to help build a better future. We are extremely thankful for Xiaomi India’s contributions to help improve the lives of the children at The Sourav Ganguly Foundation. Like Xiaomi India, it is our endeavor to empower the youth of tomorrow by supporting the less fortunate by providing them the means to grow.”

Speaking on the initiative, Prateik Das, Lead CSR & Special Projects, Xiaomi India said, “As a brand, we strongly believe that education is a key enabler that can empower and secure the future of the coming generations. As a part of our commitment to society, we have pledged to support The Sourav Ganguly Foundation by sponsoring education for children who do not have access to it. This initiative reinforces our commitment towards education for all through #ShikshaHarHaath. We hope that this movement sparks joy of giving and learning amongst the ones who need it most”.

Xiaomi India will continue with its focus to empower the children from underprivileged segments to pursue higher education, by offering sponsorships and will continue to help build a better tomorrow for the country.
