The winners of the 2026 FIFA World Cup will receive more than just the iconic trophy and gold medals. For the first time in FIFA history, the world champions will also be awarded specially designed Championship Rings, introducing a tradition long associated with American sports to international football.

One of the standout features of these rings is a miniature replica of the FIFA World Cup Trophy. Each ring will be individually customized with the name of the winning team and personalized for the player who receives it. Every ring will also carry a unique serial number and come with an official certificate of authenticity verifying its identity.

Immediately after the World Cup final, members of the victorious squad will be presented with temporary Championship Rings during the celebrations. Their personalized custom-made rings will then be delivered later through an official ceremony.

With the introduction of these rings, FIFA is embracing one of the most celebrated traditions in American sports. Championship rings have long been awarded to winners in the NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL, and the 2026 World Cup will mark the first time this prestigious custom becomes part of football's biggest tournament.

On Sunday night, Lionel Messi's Argentina will take on Spain in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final. In what promises to be a thrilling contest, the champions will not only lift football's most coveted trophy and receive gold medals but will also make history by becoming the first FIFA World Cup winners to earn the exclusive Championship Rings.
