Dravid, whose two-year contract with the Indian cricket team terminated with the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. Dravid is in talks to join the Lucknow Super Giants as a mentor for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season. The National Cricket Academy head, VVS Laxman, is emerging as the frontrunner to assume the coaching role if Dravid does not extend his contract with BCCI.
Laxman, presently overseeing the Indian team in Dravid’s absence, may take on the coaching position permanently after the India versus. Australia T20I series. According to insider information, Dravid’s decision not to continue coaching the national team is linked to ongoing discussions with Lucknow Super Giants. If he doesn’t extend his tenure with the Indian team, he is likely to join LSG as a mentor.
