XtraTime Web Desk: India skipper Virat Kohli got out in the first innings of the first test after Usman Khawaja took a blinder in the gully region and now on Friday on day 1 of the second test Kohli almost did the same when he took a stunning catch of Peter Handscomb for the hosts fourth wicket. Australia had earlier decided to bat after winning the toss at the Perth Optus Stadium.
It was a sensational catch by Kohli who took the catch with one hand a second slip to ensue frantic celebrations. With lanky pacer Ishant Sharma with the ball he bowled a short pitch ball outside off sump and Handscomb tried for a cut shot but the width on it wasn’t enough for a comfortable shot. Cramped for room, Handscomb fend it in the air and a flying Kohli went to his right, stretched his right hand and took an absolute screamer.
