Xtra Time Web Desk: Hero of the IPL 2022 Qualifier 2 Jos Buttler on Friday remembered former Rajasthan Royals captain Shane Warne who led the team to its maiden title in 2008. The legendary Australian cricketer died of heart attack in March this year. Buttler paid a rich tribute to the legendary cricketer from Australia.

“Great excitement to be able to play in the final of the biggest T20 tournament in the world.. it’s incredibly exciting. Shane Warne has been such an influential figure for Rajasthan Royals and having led the team to the title in the first season. We will miss him dearly but we know he is looking down on us with a lot of pride today,” Buttler told host broadcasters Star Sports.

Buttler was named man-of-the-match after his unbeaten 106 helped Rajasthan Royals thrash Royal Challengers Bangalore by 7 wickets and storm into the final of IPL 2022 where they take on Gujarat Titans on Sunday at the same venue.

The England batter has so far scored 824 runs at an average of 58.86 including 4 hundreds and 4 fifties with one match still left.
