Internet Desk : Former Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic has decided to hang up his boots. Vidic whose contract has been terminated by Inter Milan has made 28 appearances for the Italian side.
Vidic began his career with Red Star Belgrade. Vidic signed for Manchester United in 2006. He alongside Rio Ferdinand made a formidable defensive pair. He won five Premier League titles with the Red Devils. He also has a UEFA Champions League trophy with the English giants. Vidic won a huge number of honours with his 8 years stint with United. His trophy cabinet also includes Three league cups and a club world cup.
Vidic moved to Milan in the 2013-14 season. However he didn’t feature in a single match following which the Nerazzurris have decided not to renew his contract and they parted ways with mutual agreement.
Vidic issued a statement through Manchester United website,” “The time has come for me to hang up my boots. The injuries I have had in the last few years have taken their toll.
“I would like to thank all the players I have played with, all the managers and staff I have worked with, and say a big ‘thank you’ to the fans for their support over the years.”
