Transfer News: Real Kashmir FC finally signs their desired Pakistani defender

XtraTime Web Desk:

I-League side Real Kashmir FC completes the loan-signing of London-born defender Kashif Siddiqi for the next season. After their MOU with British club Oxford United, the Snow Leopards were trying to have Kashif on board since last September. Primarily a right back, the 33-year-old can also play in the midfield.

Siddiqi, who joins Kashmir on loan from Oxford United, is also the co-founder of a UN initiative called Football for Peace. Hence, the club believes that he can spread the message of peace in India with the beautiful game.

Siddiqi made his international debut for Pakistan U-23 at the 2008 Beijing Olympic qualifiers, and then represented the senior Pakistan team at the 2008 South Asian Football Federation Championship in the Maldives. He last played for Pakistan at the AFC Challenge Cup qualifiers in Kuala Lumpur in 2011.
