Xtra Time Web Desk: Did Mahendra Singh Dhoni drop a hint about his retirement after ongoing IPL 2023 season at Eden Gardens on Sunday night. Talking at the post-match presentation ceremony after the 49-run win over KKR, Chennai Super Kings captain got a bit emotional about his potential last season in IPL.

“I will just say thanks for the support, they came in big numbers. Most of these guys will come in a KKR jersey next time. They are trying to give me a farewell, so thanks a lot to the crowd,” Dhoni said in the post-match presentation ceremony.

The talisman also clicked a photo with Eden Gardens ground staffs after the game against KKR. He was also seen having a word with Eden Gardens chief curator Sujan Mukherjee. Having first stepped onto the hallowed turf as a young kid representing Bihar, Dhoni has played some great knocks in the venue which is always close to his heart along with the City of Joy.
