Test series against England will be even tougher than Australia, says Sourav Ganguly

BCCI President Sourav Ganguly reckons Team India’s upcoming test series against England will be more tougher than Australia.

Xtra Time Web Desk: Former India captain and current BCCI President Sourav Ganguly feels India’s upcoming test series against England will be even tougher than Australia. Ganguly shared his views in a recent interview to Sportstar. Kohli and his team are scheduled to play five matches test series against England in August-September.

The Indian team registered an incredible test series win against Australia Down Under at the beginning of the year. The Indian cricketers showed great courage and determination to bounce back and win the test series 2-1 after going 0-1 down at Adelaide. The test win at Gabba under Ajinkya Rahane without several key players was perhaps the greatest moment in Indian cricket history.

Virat and his boys will be embarking on a tough tour to England where they will play five test matches against Joe Root’s men. Kohli and his boys will leave for England in the first week of June. Team India will also play the ICC WTC Final against New Zealand starting from June 18 at the Ageas Bowl.

Former India captain Sourav Ganguly reckons Joe Root and his team will pose as a tougher opponent than Australia at their own backyard. The Indian team has always found it difficult to cope with the English conditions.Last time India won a test series in England was in 2007. The Indian team has lost the last three test series against England in England, winning just 2 test matches out of 14 tests.
