Xtra Time Web Desk: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has generously announced a cash reward of Rs. 125 crore for Team India's triumphant T20 World Cup 2024 campaign. Under the stellar leadership of Rohit Sharma, the Indian cricket team clinched the title, marking a significant milestone in Indian cricket history.

A 42-member contingent traveled to the United States of America and the West Indies for this prestigious global event. This group included 15 first-team players, support staff, reserves, and others who played crucial roles in securing the victory. The BCCI's Rs. 125 crore reward will be distributed among all these members, though the amounts will vary based on roles.

Breakdown of the Cash Prize

- First-Team Players: Each of the 15 members, irrespective of their playtime, will receive Rs. 5 crore.

- Head Coach: Rahul Dravid will also receive Rs. 5 crore.

- Coaching Staff: Batting coach Vikram Rathour, fielding coach T Dilip, and bowling coach Paras Mhambrey will each get Rs. 2.5 crore.

- Selection Committee: Members, including chief Ajit Agarkar, will receive Rs. 1 crore each.

- Support Staff: Three physiotherapists, three throwdown specialists, two masseurs, and the strength and conditioning coach will each be awarded Rs. 2 crore.

- Reserve Players: Rinku Singh, Shubman Gill, Avesh Khan, and Khaleel Ahmed will each get Rs. 1 crore.

A BCCI source confirmed the distribution process, stating, "Players and support staff have been informed about the amount of prize money they will be receiving from the BCCI, and we have asked everyone to submit an invoice."

BCCI Secretary Jay Shah emphasized the inclusivity of the reward, saying, "As far as Rs. 125 crore is concerned, it will cover the players, support staff, coaches, and selectors as well. Everyone."

In addition to the BCCI's reward, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has announced an additional Rs. 11 crore for the team upon their return home.
