Kolkata: There are two topics of discussion ahead of derby in the Mohun Bagan camp. One of them, will Sony Norde play for Mohun Bagan in the derby and another one will Sanjoy Sen be permitted by AIFF to sit in the reserve bench in the derby. In between this dilemma, Mohun Bagan camp is confident enough that Sony will be playing in the derby on Saturday. Mohun Bagan Assistant Secretary, Srinjoy Basu quoted as saying, “Sony Norde will be practising with the team in Siliguri on Friday and will be taking the field on Saturday.

Although, the flight ticket booked by Haitian Football Federation, the arrival date on that ticket is on 2nd March at Kolkata Airport. In that case, it will be trouble for the Haitian to go to Siliguri and directly play the derby. So, Mohun Bagan officials took the initiative to bring Sony early, a day before derby so that he gets the minimum time to rest before taking on the field.

Meanwhile, Sanjoy Sen will be present in the Appeal Committee meeting at the Football House in Delhi on Thursday. Will Sanjoy Sen be allowed to sit in the reserve bench in the derby? According to club sources, they are trying hard to reduce Sanjoy Sen’s suspension ahead of the derby. Although, the total decision is depending on the Appeal Committee, Mohun Bagan officials are keeping their fingers crossed.
