Kolkata: City giant Mohun Bagan’s head coach Sanjoy Sen feels that if his team wants to win the I-League this season, they need points from every match whether it is a home game or away. The Green and Maroon Brigade has won the big Kolkata derby by beating their arch-rivals East Bengal 1-0. Earlier in many matches Mohun Bagan had lost a game just after winning the Kolkata derby, the Green and Maroon coach knows that pretty well and he has warned his team about this matter too,” We need full three points against Churchill. We know what had happened in past and the players are well aware of it,” said Sanjoy Sen on the eve of the match.

Sen feels that Churchill Brothers is a very good side and his boys have to fight hard to bring three points from the match.” Churchill has six good foreigners in their squad. We played out a draw against Minerva Punjab FC in our opening encounter which according to me was our loss. We have to play really well against the Goan side to bring full points,” added Sen.

On the other hand good news for Mohun Bagan as their star Japanese midfielder Yuta Kinowaki joined the team’s practice session today. Diogo Ferreira too looked in good shape during the practice. On being asked about Kinowaki, Mohun Bagan gaffer said,” Kinowaki still has fever. I am still not sure whether he would be in the playing XI or not.” After looking at today’s practice, one can say that the team would be the same which was in derby. The coach may only replace Narahari Srestha with Sk. Faiaz.

Though Bagan coach has urged to the players to get accustomed with the artificial turf of Barasat, but skipper Sony Norde made it clear that he is unhappy with the turf,” I don’t like the artificial turf of Barasat. I even try to skip a practice session there, but unfortunately we have to play there tomorrow,” said Norde.

On Friday, Bagan’s derby match hero Kingsley told that Sony always encourages the team in the dressing room. On being asked about the matter, Sony said,” Not only inside the dressing room, I always talk with my team mates. Our primary aim only is to win the match, it doesn’t matter to me whether I or any other player score the winner for the team.”
