Debasis Sen, Colombo: Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC) is all set pay a fitting tribute to the late ICC & BCCI President Jagmohan Dalmiya. The SLC Board will be releasing  a book on the late BCCI President here in a function on Thursday.

According to SLC Board official, the book, titled “Tribute to Jagu” will be launched by President Sumathipala.

Interestingly, the foreword of the book is also written by SLC chief Thilanga Sumathipala, whom Dalmiya was very close and both were friends.

“They say some are born great, some achieve greatness and some have greatness  thrust upon them, but in the  case of Jagu, one can say few are born great, achieve greatness, and embrace greatness all in one lifetime”, Sumathipala has written in his foreword.

It may also be recalled here that last year Sumathipala was invited to deliver the first Dalmiya memorial lecture in Kolkata.

The book will be launched here and late Dalmiya’s wife Chandralekha, son Avishek, who is a joint secretary of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), and Dalmiya’s daughter Vaishali will remain present.

The book, which is more of a pictorial nature has three segments illustrating Dalmiya’s business, family and cricket commitments.
