Today, when www.xtratime.in spoke to the Mohun Bagan coach, his gesture seemed to be enough to start a healthy practice in Indian football rivalry. He told, “We, the coaches are a community. There should be a space for the mutual respect. The bitter rivalry should be stipulated only in the 90 minutes. If you don’t give respect to others, you cannot expect that for you as well. I applaud him for different reasons, it’s never easy to get the success in outstations. But he did exactly that as he got the I-League trophy at Aizawl. His courage to take the responsibility speaks volumes about his character as well. I wish him all the luck for the season ahead.”
