SAFF Championship 2023: Pakistan football team receive visas, set to arrive in Bengaluru on Tuesday

Xtra Time Web Desk: After the uncertainty over their participation in SAFF Championships in India, the Pakistan football team received their visas on Monday and are set to travel to Bengaluru on Tuesday, June 20. They will be arriving a day ahead of their opening fixture against hosts India at the Kanteerava stadium on Wednesday, June 21.

The Pakistan football team were held up for two days when they failed to acquire their visas to travel to India. It was after a two-day delay when the Pakistan Football Federation got the visas approved for their players. The team is currently in Mauritius and will travel to Mumbai from where they will reach Bengaluru on Tuesday.

India begins their SAFF Championship title defence on June 21 when they lock horns with arch rivals Pakistan at the Kanteerava stadium.

The games are slated to take place at Bengaluru’s Sree Kanteerava Stadium from June 21 to July 4. The men’s football squad from Pakistan is in Group A with the hosts India, Kuwait, and Nepal. On June 21, they will play India, their fiercest adversary.
