Rohit Sharma has a special plan for his international return after lockdown

XtraTime Web Desk: Indian cricket team’s star opener Rohit Sharma on Saturday stated that he will go to Bengaluru at National Cricket Academy after the lockdown ends which has started after the outbreak of deadly COVID 19 pandemic.  The main reason behind this is he hasn’t touched the bat since he got injured in February.

Rohit Sharma joined his India teammate Mohammed Shami in an Instagram live session on Saturday where both discussed the return of cricket after coronavirus, the current situation amid the pandemic and need of training before international action.

Mohammed Shami also revealed that Ashish Nehra had told him about the training camp after the coronavirus lockdown ends.

“Ashish Bhai was saying that as soon as the lockdown opens, we will set up a training camp. Along with fitness, you will also know that if anyone has any injury,” Shami told Rohit during the Instagram live session.

A fit-again Rohit Sharma is craving to get some batting practice before being back on the field to play competitive cricket. Rohit had suffered a calf-injury during New Zealand tour and was to mark his return to competitive cricket in IPL 2020.

“We should get more time for batting. I was already injured and returned to Mumbai even before you came. I was injured in February and I have not caught a bat since then. I’m guessing it will take two to three months to play. Need to focus on batting skills,” Rohit Sharma told Mohammed Shami.

“In Mumbai, I do not think anything will happen, and that’s why I will go to there will be Banglore for training and batting practice after the lockdown ends,” Rohit added.
