Rohit & co to begin preparation for test series from Sunday | INDvsENG

Xtra Time Web Desk: The Indian cricket team will begin their preparations for the much anticipated five match test series against England which gets underway in Hyderabad from January 25. The Indian cricketers assembled in Hyderabad on Saturday, January 20. Indian captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will miss the training session on January 22 as they will be attending the Ram Mandir Pran Pratisthan Ceremony in Ayodhya.

Following a clean sweep in the T20I series against Afghanistan in Bengaluru on January 17, the Test regulars in the T20I squad, including Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, Mukesh Kumar, and Avesh Khan, were given a two-day break before assembling in Hyderabad.

Meanwhile, England, led by Ben Stokes, has undergone a training camp in the UAE to prepare for the challenging test series in India. The team, known for its fearless Bazball style under head coach Brendon McCullum, aims to make a significant impact in what promises to be a stern test for the English side. India, unbeaten in-home Test series since 2012 when Alistair Cook’s side beat them 3-1.

The five match Test series is scheduled to begin at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal in Hyderabad from January 25.
