Rohit, Bumrah, Shubman and Shreyas explore African wildlife on a jungle safari ahead of Boxing Day Test against Proteas

Xtra Time Web Desk: As the eagerly awaited Boxing Day test against South Africa approaches from December 26, few members of the Indian cricket team including captain Rohit Sharma, pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah and Shreyas Iyer took some time off to go for a jungle safari. Also, part of the group was Head Coach Rahul Dravid and other support staff members. Fielding coach T Dilip shared some brilliant photos and videos on his Instagram with a caption, “Experienced the absolute best of wilderness with these top men. Moments to cherish for a lifetime.”

Renowned for his affection for wildlife, Rohit was spotted observing rhinos during the safari. His connection with rhinos goes beyond personal interest, as in 2018, he was appointed as a brand ambassador for Rhino Conservation by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).

Team India star batter Shubman Gill too shared photos of wild animals, like lion and rhinoceros. In one of the photos, he could be seen posing alongside the Indian coaches – the trio of Rahul Dravid, Paras Mhambrey and Vikram Rathour, with a giant rhino.
