Xtra Time Web Desk : Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski roped in yet another record on Friday night as his team demolished Wolfsburg by a margin of 4-0 in Bavaria to extend their lead to 9 points over the second placed Dortmund.

However, the striker of the year achieved yet another incredible feat as went past Gerd Muller’s record of scoring 42 goals in a calendar year which he set in 1972, in the Bundesliga by scoring the fourth goal for the German giants.

Praising his team and Lewandowski, the Bayern coach Julian Naglesmann said, “We defended well, pressed them hard, won pretty much every ball in our own half and we deserved to win by that margin. He really deserves it, especially as he scored with his weaker foot.”

Also, this was Thomas Muller’s 400th match for the Bavarian giants which he made memorable with a strike, his 222nd league goal.
