Internet Desk: Confusion rose over the Olympic participation of Indian wrestler Babita Kumari. The Rio Olympic berth which Babita booked was in the place of the winner of the Olympic qualifier Sumiya Edenchimeg who was banned failing dope test. Reentry of the qualifier winner made the ticket of Babita in confusion.

During the Olympic qualifier of the women wrestlers Sumiya Edenchimeg of Mongolia was adjudged winner. As per rule the winner of 53 kg wrestling can get the Olympic berth. Accordingly, Sumiya got the direct berth. However, she later failed the World Anti-Doping Authority dope test and was thrown out of the Rio Olympics. Indian wrestler Babita Kumari got a direct entry as the runner up of the qualifying tournament.

However, this month WADA published their current dope test result in a revised form. They cleared Sumiya of dope charge this month. After the approval of WADA Sumiya is all set to pack her bag for Rio for her country Mongolia.

If Sumiya gets the ticket Babita is set to miss the Olympics as per rules. The Olympics is starting on 5th August. But there is no notification from the Olympic authority about the exclusion of Babita. However, Wrestling Federation of India is all set to fight against United World Wrestling for the entry of Sumiya.
